Retail Sales and Event Associate
Wholly Shea is a BIPOC and woman owned soap, bath & body and home care business based in Shoreline, WA.
We make rustic shea butter soaps, bath and body products, and candles, room & linen sprays and car diffusers.
We’re looking for retail sales associates to sell our products at farmer’s markets and other events in King and neighboring counties.
As we are a BIPOC owned business and our client base is diverse, we highly encourage BIPOC candidates to apply.
Experience is not required for this role. We are willing to train the right candidate.
This is a part time seasonal position, expected to last from May 2025 to December 2025.
Weekends are required. Hours vary, from 16 per month to 64 + per month. This is a great role for someone who is looking to make some extra money. You will receive your schedule in advance.
We have markets scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. We’re looking for people who can work some or all of those days.
We do markets in King, Pierce and occasionally Thurston, Lewis, Snohomish and Skagit. You may be required to commute to different markets throughout the season, especially during the holidays. As we are located in Shoreline, our greatest need is for people who can work our events in Shoreline, Woodinville, Kenmore, Duvall and Everett.
In this role you will,

Set up our vendor booth at an assigned location (s). This includes setting up a roughly 10 x 10 canopy tent and securing each leg with weights, setting up a variety of tables, fixtures and shelves (these all fold) and ensuring that all products are displayed within the booth footprint. You will use a planogram to set up the display.

Starting in the month of October, depending on your assigned location (s), events move indoors. You will not need a tent at these indoor events.

Engage with customers as they enter and shop the booth display.

Answer customer questions

Ring purchases using our Square based POS system.

Track and manage inventory

Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the booth area

Pack down booth at the end of the market day.

Transport items to our storage facility.
Requirements

Flexibility will schedule is a must.

While experience is not necessary and training will be provided, you must have good customer service skills. You will be the face of our business and interact with each customer who visits our booth.

No criminal history.

Driving is essential for this position. You must have a clean driving record. You must have a vehicle large enough to transport supplies. For all outdoor markets this includes a 10 x 10 canopy tent that is packaged in a roller bag, folding shelves, a 6 foot or 4-foot folding table and two to three plastic totes. For indoor markets, a tent is not required.

You must be willing to commute to our storage facility in Lynnwood to pick up inventory and displays, fixtures, etc.

Outdoor markets operate rain or shine in all types of weather. Each market has set guidelines that they follow when determining whether to cancel a market. This will be communicated with you.
Pay

$17.00 -$18.00 an hour to start. Hourly rate based on experience.

Cell phone reimbursement. Paid monthly.
